YSL Volupte Sheer Candy in #2 Dewy Papaya

I have recently gotten the Yves Saint Laurent Volupte Sheer Candy in #2 Dewy Papaya in a swap and I absolutely love it! However, I would never purchase this. The way I see this product is that it is a lip balm, that gives a glossy finish, in a lipstick form. The reason I say that I absolutely love this product is that I love the way it looks and feels on my lips! It is great at moisturizing your lips and it gives your lips a very natural glossy finish. The finish is actually very similar to the Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector! I also find that this product last a good amount of time on the lips. Of course, I can not forget the delicious and amazing scent (and taste) of the Yves Saint Laurent lip products! I can not stop smelling this lip product! It smells soooo delicious! It smells just like melon candy!

So yes, it does feel, look, and smell amazing, however it is definitely not worth the $30 for this lip product. The main reason is that it goes on clear! There is almost no tint to this product at all, it is clear! I would probably have to swipe this product on my lips 20 times to get the peachy tint out of this product. The Yves Saint Laurent Volupte Sheer Candy are luxurious and smells fantastic, however the formulation of the product is not worth the $30! I would rather go purchase the Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector, which are just as good (and better!) as the Yves Saint Laurent Volupte Sheer Candy.

  1. I've never tried a YSL lipstick, but this packaging is really pretty. It's definitely not worth $30 though!

    1. The YSL Volupte Sheer Candy is not worth $30, but I really do believe that the other lipstick formulas are worth it. I use to think that not any lipstick is worth $30, but there is a significant difference from high-end and low-end lipstick. Like now, I think MAC lipsticks are only okay lipsticks compare to Dior, YSL, Chanel, ect.

    1. Yeah I know! I feel like the Volupte Sheer Candy should have had more pigmentation for it to be a successful product.
